2016 was a difficult and disillusioning year on the work front.
Things have been better in 2017, and I have recently had an enjoyable spell of work in a financial advisers’ office in Carlisle. I have found out that it is possible for me to work within 30 minutes walk of Carlisle railway station, as the train times fit in nicely with 9-5 office hours.
After working almost constantly from mid-2014 until May 2016, I now find myself having a quiet time.
I have recently updated my computer equipment so that I am able to use Skype which enables me to do virtual work. If anyone would like to contact me using Skype, the details are:-

All rates for work are negotiable, so if you think I’m too expensive please contact me and I will be happy to enter discussions.
Business has been picking up this year, especially since the spring. Work covered this year includes typing documents, reception work, holiday cover, taking minutes at meetings and some work on tidying and updating databases. I have done work for some new clients as well as established ones.
I recommend booking in advance if I am needed for holiday cover.
All the very best to present and future clients for 2014.
I’ve had a busy time with temping work since January. I was helping out with a charity, Crichton Foundation, mostly involved with the arrangements for events, the main one being the Women of Dumfries & Galloway Lunch which took place on 9th March. The event was attended by 360 women, one of the speakers was former MP Rt Hon Ann Widdecombe and it was great to be part of it.
This was followed by a hectic week of holiday cover in a surveyor’s office.
I am currently without an assignment but very busy working in the garden.
I recommend early booking if you need me for holiday cover to make sure I am available.
